Privacy and data protection
This site was not built to collect personal data. What happens, what does not, and what rights you have — below.
What this site does not do
It sets no cookies. There are no accounts, forms or comments. No ad network, tracking pixel or social widget is loaded. The site is entirely static files; there is no session on the server that recognises you.
The player in the archive, and the radio
Archive pages let you play the YouTube recording, and the Zaruret Radio bar at the bottom shuffles the whole archive track by track. Neither is loaded when the page opens: only the sleeve is on screen and no request reaches YouTube. The embed loads only when you press play, and it loads from the cookie-free youtube-nocookie.com domain. So YouTube cannot collect anything from you until you start playback yourself. Once you do, Google’s own privacy policy applies. The radio’s current track and position are stored only in your own browser and are never sent to any server.
The only thing stored in your browser
If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is kept in your browser’s local storage under zrt-theme. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to the server, and it stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Server and infrastructure
The site is served from a server hosted in Germany, behind Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare temporarily processes connection data including IP addresses. Cookieless, aggregate page-view statistics are also collected; they do not identify individual visitors.
When you write to us
Email sent to [email protected] is used only to answer you and, where relevant, to carry out the working relationship. We do not share that correspondence with third parties and do not add you to a marketing list.
Outbound links
When you follow a link to Spotify, YouTube, nikbinler.net or dijisan.org, those sites’ own privacy policies apply. They are not under Zaruret’s control.
Your rights
Under Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Law No. 6698, Article 11) you may ask whether your personal data is processed and request information about it, learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, know the third parties to whom it is transferred at home or abroad, request correction if it is incomplete or incorrect, request erasure or destruction where the conditions are met and that this be notified to those third parties, object to a result reached solely by automated analysis that works against you, and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
