Our fictional band Purple Door's new album, Hologram Heart, is out now! Formed in London during the psychedelic renaissance of 1970, Purple Door emerged as one of the most innovative yet criminally underappreciated progressive rock bands of their era. The group's distinctive sound merged atmospheric synthesizers, blues-influenced guitar work, and philosophical lyrics that explored the depths of human consciousness.

Formation and Early Years The band came together when guitarist James Harrison and keyboardist Michael Walsh, both philosophy students at London University, met bassist Thomas Chen and drummer Robert Mitchell at a local music venue. They were soon joined by saxophonist Sarah Collins, whose soulful playing would become a defining element of their sound.

Musical Style and Influence Purple Door's sound was characterized by their patient approach to composition, allowing themes to develop naturally through extended instrumental passages.
