Miskinler Spotify: Founded in Istanbul in 1980, Miskinler established itself as a pioneering musical collective in Turkish rock history, merging Anatolia’s rich cultural heritage with psychedelic rock. Inspired by the Sufi concept of miskin which evokes a dervish-like detachment from worldly desires, the band reflects the spirit of the mystic who values the spiritual over the material.

The band integrates traditional instruments like the ney, kudüm, and bendir alongside electric bağlama, guitar, drums, and bass, pushing the boundaries between Eastern mysticism and Western rock.
