FRANZGUAN: Formed in 1986, Franzguan emerged on the music scene as a fictional band that transcends traditional rock boundaries, taking listeners on a mystical and hypnotic journey. Founded in Los Angeles by a group of experimental musicians, Franzguan developed a unique style that blends the psychedelic rock sounds of the ’60s and ’70s with the dark funk and analog synth tones of the ’80s. They quickly distinguished themselves through their use of sitar-inspired bass riffs, tabla, and world percussion, which they crafted by drawing inspiration from world music influences.
